New Jersey Family Photographer | warm and cozy beach shoot

Last night I met up with Luke, William and Matthew for their yearly portraits. We decided that a beach setting with cozy sweaters and rubber boots splashing in chilly waters would be really fun. The choice of clothing and colors add a classic, yet soft feel to the photos. Here's just a sampling, so many to choose from...hope you like my selections!

Here is my latest shoot with Sophia (2 years old) and Tavey (10 months), these 2 worked it like professional models in front of my camera. I was so grateful to have another nice day to shoot outdoors, and the outfits these guys wore  really worked beautifully against our surroundings.  Enjoy the cuties...I bet you'll be smiling as you look at the shots, their smiles are contagious!

New Jersey Family Photographer | Summer Fun

new jersey child photographer

Last night I met up with Noah, Josh and Natalie for a sunset photo shoot. The moment I saw these guys (and their parents) I was super excited. I loved how their mom styled everyone in summery, fresh looks. As I scouted their yard for a place to shoot, I noticed a beautiful field across the street that was being lit by the setting sun....so obviously we HAD to use that as our backdrop! In the end, I am very happy with our results...enjoy!

Hoboken Family Photographer | Noah's 2 year shoot

This morning I met up with Noah and his parents for a shoot on the water in Hoboken. It was a pretty cool setting, the fog was laying thick on the river, making the skyline look like a hazy and muted color-scape. The greenery in the park had a rain forest vibe too, which was neat. We did a full lap of the area before the rain started to fall, and in that time frame Noah was able to explore and play and we got lots of great pictures. Enjoy!

New Jersey Family Photographer | Lake Mohawk Shoot

Today's family shoot with my very good friend Becky (we've been bestie's since 2nd grade) and her brother and mom. Becky is in town from Colorado and her brother is in from Florida - aka - the perfect excuse for a family photo shoot! We headed down to Lake Mohawk in Sparta, a place that has tons of good memories for everyone. I was so happy that the rain subsided, and we were able to get lots of fun pictures. Enjoy the preview!

New Jersey Newborn Photographer | Jemma's first shoot

The other day I met up with Jemma for her first photo shoot. She's only a few weeks old and has the most beautiful big blue eyes (just like her mom). Not only was it fun to meet Jemma, but I also got to visit with her older brother and sister (twins!), whom I have been photographing since they were newborns. Its really something special to watch my client's families expand and grow, and an honor to be the one photographing these special milestones. Enjoy the preview!

New Jersey Family Photographer | Ethan and Benjamin

Yesterday I headed down to Hamilton, NJ to visit  good friends + to photograph their beautiful twin boys. Its crazy to think that it was over 2  years ago, we were doing their newborn portraits. The park we took pictures at yesterday was super pretty, I was shocked at how many flowers were in bloom (definitely more than up here in Hudson County!). Here are some shots from our time together....

New Jersey Family Photographer | Mason's 1 Year Shoot

Today I met up with Mason and his family for his 1 year shoot.   The day was perfect, not too cold and not too sunny. We were able to get lots of happy, natural smiles and I'm loving everything I've looked at from our time together.

I can't believe that it was this time last year he was just born and we were scheduling his newborn shoot. Happy birthday!!

New Jersey Family Photographer | Winter Valentine

Yesterday, I woke up and had the urge to do a shoot with shades of pink against turquoise skies. I was heading to Sparta to visit my family, so I thought I would email my friend who lives in town that is an artist. I knew if I told her my initial inspiration she would come up with something special, and she did. Unfortunately,  it was so cold and the snow was covered in a sheet of ice, so we only lasted outside for about 15 minutes. But within that time we laughed and froze and I was able to capture what I envisioned.
